What should the world do about Libya? The power vacuum left behind after Colonel Gaddafi鈥檚 overthrow has now taken centre stage, in the wake of the killing of 21 Egyptian Christians. The country is now a patchwork of rival militias and at least two competing 鈥榞overnments鈥�. And 鈥� uppermost in the minds of decision-makers around the world 鈥� it鈥檚 becoming a new potential base for Islamic State and its allies. Egypt wants international intervention under a UN mandate.
