It's being claimed that Leicester can boast the UK's greatest leap in economic growth. Matched only by London, Leicester saw an 18 per cent rise in its economy during the financial period between 2011 and early 2014. Councillors from Hinckley all the way up to Loughborough have been telling us that a consequence of recent budget cuts is that their grass verges are becoming overgrown and blighting their areas. Two years ago - when Leicestershire County Council asked the public where it should make savings - more than half of you said that grass cutting should be reduced to some extent. In fact, a fifth of people actually said the area should be cut 'a great deal'. But now, as the reductions take effect, its sparking complaints from many. An archeological dig at Bradgate Park is revealing some tantalising clues about the history of this ancient landscape.
