7/7 Anniversary, Syston Roundabout and House for Homeless.

Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.

Events will be held across London today to mark the tenth anniversary of a terrorist attack on the capital's transport network. 52 people were killed and more than 700 others were injured when four suicide bombers detonated their explosives on three underground trains and a bus. The loss of life will be remembered at a wreath-laying ceremony at the 7th of July Memorial in Hyde Park, and at a service in Saint Paul's Cathedral, during which a minute's silence will be observed. The newly, so-called, improved junction in Syston causing chaos for motorists, Work began to redevelop the roundabout in Syston earlier this year. But since the completion of the 55-thousand pound redevelopment, pedestrians, cyclists and motorists say the new layout is driving them around them bend! One Roof Leicester - which supports homeless, destitute and vulnerably housed people in the city- has been given a house by the Diocese of Leicester, rent free to provide a home for some of them. The first new residents should move into the former vicarage early in the new year.
