The Chancellor is to deliver an "emergency" Budget at lunchtime - the first Conservative budget in 18 years. In January, George Osborne outlined further cuts to the Government's spending, with implications for the welfare budget. He's said the Government would slash an extra 12 billion pounds from that annual budget in the first two years of the Parliament. Allotment holders in a Leicestershire town are once again fighting to protect their plots. The De Verdon Road allotment site in Lutterworth has been rented by the Town Council from Harborough District Council since 1974. Now though, Harborough want to develop the land for its own use, possibly for housing, and the allotment holders have two years until their site will be closed. For cricket fans - the big contest of the Summer is about to start. England will begin their attempt to regain the ASHES from Australia in Cardiff this morning. The opening game of the five-match Test series begins at the SWALEC Stadium. England are bidding to win a fourth successive home series, having lost the last one 5-0 in Australia in 2014.
