'Lack of action meant I pulled my money out of India'
India’s stock market has not been immune to the sharp falls seen elsewhere, but long term investors are still pretty happy.
The markets jumped 18% in 2014 with investors optimistic about what the Narendra Modi government would do for the economy.
Among those buying in was Jim Rogers, a high-profile US investor and co-founder of the Quantum Fund – a hedge fund which in its heyday managed billions of dollars for some of the world’s most wealthy people.
But Mr Rogers has just sold his investments in India, so the ´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s Sharanjit Leyl asked him why.
