Syria, US Shooting and Cinemas
Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.
RAF Tornado jets have carried out Britain's first air strikes on Islamic State targets in Syria, just hours after MPs authorised military action. The go-ahead was given by a margin of almost two to one after a day-long debate in the Commons. David Cameron won the support of more than 60 Labour MPs, even though the party's leader Jeremy Corbyn voted against intervention.
Also, the US President, Barack Obama, has expressed his sorrow at another mass shooting in the country which left at least 14 people dead and 17 injured.
And, it was one of the first in the original chain of Odeon Cinemas. Loughborough's cinema was opened in 1936 and has now become a grade II listed building. But what will happen when a brand new shiny multiplex opens, only a hop and skip away in Baxtergate in the town? We calculated it and it takes just over 3 minutes to walk from one to the other. So will the trusty old Odeon flicker into oblivion or will it hold its own against the big boys.
