David Bowie, Tourism & Cycle Lanes

The rock star, David Bowie, has died at the age of 69. In a career spanning several decades, he influenced music and fashion and was also a successful actor. Bowie played in Leicester three times, Febuary 1966 at Mecca Ballroom, August 1966 at Latin Quarter and also 11th June 1973 at De Montfort Hall. We hear from Phil Giddings was at that concert, as well as your dedications.
Also, Harborough has become the first district in Leicestershire to appoint a dedicated head of tourism. Graham Peers has just started work at his office in Market Harborough, promoting tourist sites across the district. 大象传媒 Radio Leicester's Christian Hill has been down to meet Graham to find out more about Harborough's attractions.
And, a controversial scheme to introduce cycle lanes along one of Leicester's busiest roads starts today. The city council is spending 1.7 million pounds on the project, which will remove the existing bus lane. 大象传媒 Radio Leicester's Helen McCarthy is there for us.
