One Man's Jazz During The 1940s

The story of one man's introduction to jazz and how he went on to a lifetime of musical experiences. Also we hear from Charlie Wood with his wife Jacqui Dankworth.

As well as growing up with jazz and hearing from Charlie Wood and Jacqui Dankworth there's music from Remi Harris and Alan Barnes together. We hear from latin band Heads South ahead of their toiur in the Midlands and from violinist Sarah Smith who is appearing in Pershore. Add George Lewis, Gerry Mulligan, Stuff Smith and Terry Gibbs and you have two hours of superb jazz.
