Jazz In The Forties - Part 2

The second part of memories growing up to jazz in the forties and onwards plus music from Buck Clayton to a new release from Herlin Riley

Remembering some moments from jazz history. The time that Sidney Bechet played in Britain without permission and Leadbelly gave one of his last performances. Add to that music from Ethel Smith, Joe Stilgoe, Lee Konitz, Benny Goodman and Canonball Adderley plus many other and you have a couple of hours of good jazz.
