Tradition takes a battering
An eight hundred year old tradition has been broken, with fish being fried on Great Yarmouth's market.
According to local folklore, it was a condition set in the charter granted by King John in 1208.
There had only been chip stalls, until earlier this week, when the first battered fish was fried.
