Tourism, Sunburn & Gary's Pants

Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.

Tourism is now worth more than ever before to Leicester and Leicestershire's economy. To be exact, 1.675 BILLION pounds. That total for last year is a new record - and the figure's now been on the rise for seven years straight. What's more, since 2012 the industry's created 18 hundred new jobs. So what is driving so many people here? 大象传媒 Radio Leicester's Bridget Blair has been finding out.

Also, drivers are at an increased risk of skin damage, even without the window down, and over half of us don't realise. It's a warning that the charity Melonoma UK is keen to get across this Summer. It says that new research shows over a quarter of UK motorists have suffered from sunburn while on the road and that four in five say they've never been concerned about skin damage whilst travelling in a car on a sunny day. It says that over half of drivers are entirely unaware that sun damage can occur in a car even when the windows are closed. We speak to the founder of Melonoma UK.

And, "If Leicester win the Premier League I'll do the first Match of the Day of next season in just my undies."
That was the notorious tweet that Gary Lineker has been unable to live down ever since the Foxes took the Premier league crown for the first time in their 132 year history. So with the premier league kicking off this weekend, that "momentous" vision of one of Leicester's most famous sons is just over 24 hours away. So what pants to pick? We get to the - er bottom - of things...
