Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.
NHS services across England could be dramatically cut as part of wide-ranging efficiency plans. The 大象传媒 has seen proposals which include cuts to bed numbers and changes to care provided by GPs and Accident and Emergency departments. We find out what effect this could have in Leicestershire and Rutland.
There are no plans to close Shepshed Market... Just yet! That's the view of Chanrwood Borough Council's Market Manager after some traders told us that they only give it a year. For some time the town's market day, every Friday, has struggled to attract visitors and stallholders. But in neighbouring Loughborough, it's a different picture. So now there are plans to try and bring some of those into Shepshed.
And, we've known for a while now that Leicester City will be playing Champions League Football this season - but now we know where they will be travelling to for the fixtures. The group stages draw took place in Monaco yesterday evening - and Leicester were pulled out as the first team in Group G. Porto, Bruges, and Copenhagen were confirmed as the teams they'll face over the coming months. But what do we know about the places the team, and fans, will be travelling to? 大象传媒 Radio Leicester's Danielle Hunt has been on the case of finding out a little bit more about Leicester's Champions League destinations.
Also in the show, the fianc茅e of Sam Boulton, who died after a crash in the city, wants others to be aware of the dangers of the road, the latest from Italy, and is one Radio Leicester listener on the right track when trying to find a Roman road which runs through Leicestershire and Rutland?
