New York explosion witness: 'everyone jumped and ducked for cover'
At least 29 people have been injured after an explosion in the Chelsea neighbourhood of New York.
The cause of the explosion which happened on Saturday night is not yet known, though Mayor Bill de Blasio has described it as 鈥渋ntentional鈥 but said that there is no evidence to suggest that it was linked to terrorism.
The explosion occurred at around 21:30 (1:30 GMT on Sunday). None of the injuries is life-threatening but one is serious.
RJ Demello, who heard the explosion while walking in the area, said that 鈥渆veryone jumped and ducked for cover鈥.
鈥淲e were not sure which direction it came from, it echoed off the buildings,鈥 he added.
Officials have told media that a device was found at a second location in the same neighbourhood.
