Humphrey Lyttelton's rarely heard Big Band, recorded in concert for Radio 2 in 1991. Presented by Guy Barker.

Another chance to hear Guy Barker introduce an historic concert from the 大象传媒 archives. When asked to open Radio 2's first ever Jazz Season in 1991, Humphrey Lyttelton took the opportunity to bring his Big Band out of retirement. The dusted down parts were put on the stands of his hand picked musicians who brilliantly brought to life a fascinating collection of arrangements not heard for more than 30 years. The concert was recorded at the Hippodrome Golders Green with Humph' in top form as player, bandleader and on stage host.
