Priti Patel: Government is focused on delivering Brexit
The International Development Secretary, Priti Patel, has said the government will listen to parliamentary concerns about the negotiations for UK withdrawal from the European Union.
Asked about the potential for a parliamentary vote on the government's negotiating proposal, she told Andrew Marr: "The Prime Minister has said a number of times: Brexit means Brexit."
She added: "This is not about using parliament to subvert the democratic will of the British people", and said there would be several debates around the Great Repeal Bill, as well as a new Brexit Select Committee to scrutinise the government's plans.
