NHS Changes, Homelessness & Children In Need

Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.

NHS England is being urged to come clean over money saving plans for health services across Leicestershire and Rutland. Sustainability and Transformation Plans, or STPs, are being developed across England, and finding savings by changing the way services are provided.

A Leicester homeless charity is warning that proposed city council cuts could have a major impact on services in the city. The Centre Project on Albert Place is one of three groups that could have its funding slashed, as part of plans to save 拢800,000 from the city's annual budget.

Children in Need is this Friday, and all this week here on 大象传媒 Radio Leicester we're going out to meet some of the people who've benefited from the money that you've raised. Ben Jackson popped to Shepshed last week to find out how Children in Need has helped the children's charity, STEPS.
