Ambulance Waiting Times, Judy Murray & Melton's Lottery
Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.
It's emerged that around 1 in 5 ambulances arriving at Leicester's Royal Infirmary have to wait more than half an hour to hand over their patients. East Midlands Ambulance says that out of the 31 thousand visits its vehicles have made to the A&E unit in the past six months, 6,000 of them were delayed in leaving by more than half an hour.
Judy Murray's 2016 has been pretty impressive. Starting it with a Strictly glow and a new grand-daughter, she's now celebrating both of her boys - Jamie and Andy - ending the year as World Number Ones. She's been at Loughborough University, to give a workshop sharing tips from her own 25-year coaching career.
A flutter on the Lotto still averages 拢42million per week in sales for the operator Camelot - but now a local council in Leicestershire is getting in on the act. Melton Borough's Community Lottery sees its first draw on Christmas Eve. It's the first council in the East Midlands to start its own lottery.
