‘Super’ dog saves boy trapped in tumble dryer
A family in County Down have praised their ‘super’ dog for alerting them that their five-year-old son was trapped in the tumble dryer.
Riley Gedge-Duffy, who has Down’s Syndrome, suffered burns to his arms, back and head when the machine automatically started after he’d crawled inside.
Riley’s dad, Aaron Duffy, told 5 live the family dog, Teddy, a Cockapoo, alerted his wife who was upstairs vacuuming.
Aaron said: “the dog was barking and growling and running around,”
“Teddy did this two months earlier when a phone charger went on fire, which let my wife know something was wrong,” he added.
