Meet the Mayor, A Gift to Lift & The Twits

Start your day with the latest news and updates, with Jim and Jo at breakfast.

Leicester's City Mayor says "radical action" is needed to tackle traffic problems in parts of the city centre. Sir Peter Soulsby was speaking at one of his public 'question time' events, last night at City Hall. We bring you edited highlights from the night, between 9am-10am.

Alex Hopwood, from Hinckley, was diagnosed with a form of Leukaemia at just 22. Whilst she was in hospital she created a charity, called "A Gift to Lift" and started making things to send to other young patients to cheer them up. Today is two years today since she passed away, so we catch up with her Mum, to see how the Charity is getting along.

The Twits is the tale of the most revolting couple you could ever hope to meet. Last night was the official opening of the latest 'Made at Curve' Christmas show based on the classic Roald Dahl story! Jim Davis has been out to find out a little more about the cast.
