Forget the campaign slogans, forget the tweets - Monday was a day of executive action for President Donald J Trump. Mr Trump had a round-table breakfast with corporate CEOs - and later in the day met union bigwigs from across America. Sitting the Oval Office, he formally ended US involvement in the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Nancy Marshall-Genzer of American Public Radio's Marketplace gives us her thoughts on President Trump's week day one.

The British Prime Minister, Theresa May, will be the first foreign head of government to meet President Trump. We ask Allie Renison, head of Europe and Trade Policy at the Institute of Directors in London, what she makes of the new bilateralist Trump trade policy.

The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, has been accused of being the face of neo-colonialism after his legal team filed a lawsuit in Hawaii to clarify a complex question of land ownership. Some Hawaiian politicians and activists say his behaviour is reminiscent of the old sugar plantation owners. Mr Zuckerberg says he and his family fell in love with the island of Kauai and its community and only want to pay a fair share to any partial owners of his estate land. Julia Carrie Wong of the Guardian newspaper explains why land acquisition by outsider is such an emotive issue.

The American rapper Jay-Z is selling a stake in his music streaming business, Tidal, to the telecoms company, Sprint. Jay-Z bought Tidal three years ago and the board must be one of the coolest in business, with his wife, Beyonce, Madonna, Daft Punk and Kanye West among the directors. Sprint presumably thinks Tidal can match Spotify, while offering artists on its platform more ontrol over their music. Will Sprint's $200m investment make the difference? A question for Wired's Klint Finley.
