Trump Orders Building of Mexico Border Barrier

The wall could cost as much as $14 billion. US taxpayers will foot the bill initially, though President Trump insists that Mexico will ultimately have to pay for it.

President Trump has signed several executive orders - the unilateral exercise of Presidential power, without needing Congress approval - aimed at restricting immigration. These include one to jump-start the construction of a wall along the southern US border with Mexico. We hear the thoughts of people in Mexico City and from the country's former Foreign Minister, Jorge Castaneda.

Car sales in India fell last month - for the first time in almost a year and half. That was due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to replace more than 80% of the country's currency as part of a crackdown on black money. Rahul Tandon reports from Kolkata on how demonetisation affected one of the world's fastest growing economies.

Discrimination at work can come in some pretty basic forms - and according to a new parliamentary report here in Britain, women face additional hassle when it comes to dress code. MPs at Westminster heard from hundreds of women who said they had been required to wear make-up, wear revealing outfits, or even dye their hair blonde. Is this just a British problem? Emma Bell is professor of management at Keele University in central England.

Our two guests throughout the show are Jo Barraket, director, Centre for Social Impact at Swinburne University in Melbourne, and Dave Shaw of Scripps News, in Washington DC.
