Police divers are searching a lake to find a weapon in connection with the killing of a Northampton man.

David Brickwood, 74, was stabbed five times in a "violent and dreadful" attack at his home on Lindsay Avenue, Abington, on 26 September 2015.

The lake at Eastfield Park a mile away is being searched by police divers to find evidence in the murder case.

Det Insp Phil Mills, from the Major Crime Unit, said: "We still haven't found a murder weapon and it isn't clear what was taken [from the house]. That is what our focus is on."

No-one has been charged over the death.
