FA systems are flawed - MP Damian Collins
MP Damian Collins says there should be an "independent assessment" of the Football Association for the events that led to Mark Sampson being sacked as England women's manager.
Collins, who chairs the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee, was speaking after Sampson lost his job following evidence of "inappropriate and unacceptable" behaviour with female players in a previous role.
"You have to look at the Football Association and say its systems are not working and it allowed someone who they did not want, or would not have chosen to be manager of the England women's team to continue in that post until today," Collins said.
