Award winning director Martin Scorsese says Robert De Niro was in good enough shape to be a professional boxer while training for the movie, 鈥楻aging Bull鈥� that depicted the life of professional boxer, Jake LaMotta.

The renown American actor worked with former world middleweight champion LaMotta ahead of his portrayal as the boxer in the film.

According to Scorsese, who directed the film, La Motta dubbed De Niro 鈥渙ne of the top 20 middleweights in the world鈥�, such was his dedication in preparing for the role.
