Leonard Cohen's son Adam talks to 6 Music Breakfast
It's almost a year since Leonard Cohen passed away shortly after releasing his 14th studio album You Want It Darker, produced by his son Adam who is organising a huge memorial concert for his father, which takes place in Montreal on Monday November the 6th.
The line-up will feature an array of Canadian and international artists including Elvis Costello, Feist, Philip Glass, k.d. lang, The Lumineers' Wesley Schultz Jeremiah Fraites, Damien Rice, Sting, Patrick Watson and Lana Del Ray alongside Adam Cohen himself, who is co-producing the event. More names were added to the bill yesterday including Courtney Love (Kurt was a big fan) and fellow Canadian, comedian and actor Seth Rogan who will be performing some poetry on the night.
The concert will form part of a week-long celebration of Leonard Cohen, his life and music across his home city of Montreal which will also include an exhibition at the Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art (Mus茅e d'art contemporain de Montr茅al).
6 Music Breakfast's Siobhan McAndrew spoke to Adam to find out more about the memorial concert and his father's legacy...
