The Royals boss Jaap Stam understands that results need to improve soon for Reading FC.

Going into this weekend's match against Hull City, Reading are without a win in seven matches.

"We need to get results, and that's what we'll try to do on Saturday," Stam told 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire's Jack Winstanley. "The league's the priority, everybody knows that.

"Every game that we've played is important, every game that you play you want to get a result."

And Stam was keen to stress that there won't be much activity in the January transfer window for Reading.

"There's always something in the pipeline...we can't do a lot, we're trying to do something but we need to be creative.

"You want to have a couple of players in...but it's not easy."
