Pam Garrard from Millbrook Garden Centre joins us in the studio to tell us about their Spring launch events for Greenfingers, who create magical gardens in children's hospices.

Helena Noifeld reports from the charity Hands of Hope's newly acquired site in Hawkhurst - they are looking for volunteers to help garden the land, run Men In Sheds and school sustainable eating projects

Chatham and District Leisure Gardeners Association AGM takes place at Walderslade Working Mens Club Chestnut Ave Walderslade starting at 7:30pm

Whitfield Gardeners' Society have a talk called "Darling Buds of May" by Sue Duckworth in the Whitfield Village Hall at 7.30pm. Visitors are welcome.

Hildenborough Garden Society welcome the Speaker Barry Newman to talk about Growing and Showing Vegetables

TUESDAY 13th MARCH
Angela Merryfield will be be demonstrating the art of flower arranging for the Island Floral Group at St Peters Church Hall, Hopeville Avenue, Broadstairs. The title will be "Time for a Change". There will be a raffle at the end and some lucky members will be taking the arrangements home. Entrance for visitors is 拢6.

GILLINGHAM & DISTRICT FUCHSIA & PELARGONIUM SOCIETY meet at RAINHAM SCHOOL FOR GIRLS, DERWENT WAY in RAINHAM for a WORKSHOP EVENING: QUESTIONS AND PRACTICAL ADVICE ON GROWING FUCHSIAS AND PELARGONIUMS FROM SOME OF OUR MEMBERS. It STARTS at 7.15 .

Sundridge & Brasted Horticultural Society welcome Steve Harmer for a talk on Plant Hunters - it starts at 8pm at Sundridge Village Hall.

Strood Gardening Club are at St Nicholas, Lower Hall on Strood High Street at 7.30pm - it's their AGM and Mini Spring Show.

Herne Bay Gardening Club meet at Pettman House Over 60s Club, Hanover Square, William Street, Herne Bay at 2.00pm - Membership is full at the moment but we welcome visitors for a payment of 拢2 per session.
There's a talk by Roger Austin "Life as a gamekeeper's son".

Waltham Gardeners' Society meet at 7.30 p.m. At Waltham Village Hall
Topic: The Pruning of Garden Fruit Trees and Shrubs
Malcolm Withnall has spent a lifetime in he fruit industry; experienced in growing, as an educator lecturing at Hadlow College, and as a distinguished writer for fruit industry publications. Malcolm has been inspirational in his support for the U.K. fruit industry. Many pictures of him feature him with secateurs in hand. Guests are very welcome and to join us for coffee and biscuits after the presentation

WEDNESDAY 14th MARCH
Hartley Horticultural Society meet this month and their guest is Mr Hilary Newman. His talk is on the ABC Of Pruning. It starts at 8pm at Fawkham and Hartley Church Centre, Ash Road, Hartley DA3 8DB. Visitors are welcome and refreshments are available.

Charing Gardeners' Society have a talk from 7.30pm at Church Barn, Charing, Nr Ashford
Everett Leeds tells us about "Clematis through the Seasons". By choosing the right clematis you can have flowers for every month of the year. The talk will include - history, planting, feeding, pruning, seed, cuttings, pests. Entrance is 拢2 for member and 拢3 for non- members and includes refreshments. Nonington Gardening Club's next Speaker on the 14th March will be,Mr GT Francis, talking about "The Vegetable Garden" perfect for those who grow vegetables and hopefully inspirational to those who don't.
The Club meet in Nonington Village Hall at 7.30pm every 2nd Wednesday of the month except August and new members are always welcome.

Shorne Cottage Garden Society have Speaker Carol Jones talking about Flower Photography with Camera and Phones. All shows from 2.45pm in Shorne Village Hall. Entry is free. There are Refreshments and Plant Stall.

The National Vegetable Society meet at Bridge Village Hall for 7.30 - it's their AGM plus a talk by Ian Clemens on 'What's News (and what's not so new) in Seed Catalogues'.

THURSDAY 15th March
The Deal and District Flower Club are hosting a flower arranging demonstration by Helen Hare, entitled 'East to West'. It will be held at The Cleary Hall, Landmark Centre, High Street, Deal, CT14 6BB at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7.00pm and there will be a raffle for the finished arrangements. Non-members welcome - 拢6.00 on the door.

Maidstone Flower Club - talk about Friendship Through Flowers
New members and visitors will be warmly welcomed at our friendly club which meets on 2nd Thursday of the month at Allington Baptist Church (opposite Somerfield Hospital). Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Free parking is available. Membership - 拢30 per annum, Visitors fee - 拢6 per visit.
