The Biggest Weekend: 大象传媒 Music Introducing

Millions watched the performances on TV and there's been extensive coverage on radio and the 大象传媒 iPlayer.
听
But just what is it like to perform at such a big event?
听
We caught up with 大象传媒 Radio 1 presenters Huw Stephens and Annie Mac, who were hosting some of the new talent onto the 大象传媒 Music Introducing stage.
听
The Biggest Weekend: Years & Years
听
Olly studied at and and became the band's lead singer after meeting at a house party and was overheard singing in the shower!
听
He then went on to support , who also appeared in Swansea.听
听
The Biggest Weekend: Underworld
听
But it wasn't until the movie Trainspotting came out in 1996 that the electronica duo would achieve their highest success with the anthemic thumper Born Slippy.
听
That film was directed by Danny Boyle, the same chap that organised directed the Olympic Games in London, who commissioned the band to write some of the soundtrack to the 2012 event.
听

We were there, once again, with some of our favourite handpicked musicians from Herefordshire & Worcestershire, recording four sessions for broadcast across two events.
听
But what makes this event different?

As more than a quarter-of-a-million tickets have been sold for this year's event, we've been looking back at 31 years of the Hay Festival.

Not only does this festival, near Kidderminster, have a huge range of real ales, ciders, a glam bar and award-winning street vendors, but also live music from more than 30 acts.听

大象传媒 Music Introducing in Bewdley
听
This will be their eighth annual event which takes place in the riverside town of Bewdley, featuring tonnes of local bands.
听
This year they are extending the festival over three days.
听
We will be there on Sunday, 17 June, hosting a stage dedicated to Herefordshire and Worcestershire artists chosen from the .
听
Each will record a live session for broadcast on the programme.
