KENT GARDENING EVENTS
SUNDAY 10th JUNE
The beautiful village of Doddington has an open gardens event today and they are keen to get the word out and have plenty of visitors.
Private gardens and the award winning allotments will be open to the public from 1-5pm. Tickets 拢5 adults, children free, available on the day from the village hall. The hall is also open for light lunches from 12.30.
There will be a second open gardens day on the 8th July too.

MONDAY 11th JUNE
Whitfield Gardeners' Society hold a talk on 'Clematis for the Year Round Garden' by
Kevin Tooher in the Whitfield Village Hall at 7.30pm

TUESDAY 12th JUNE
SEVENOAKS FLOWER CLUB invites you to their new venue, Otford Village Memorial Hall, 8 High Street, Otford TN14 5PQ at 1.45pm to see National Demonstrator SUSAN PHILLIPS - the talk is called 'PETALS GALORE'

The Island Floral Groups next meeting will be held at 2.30pm in St Peters Church Hall, Hopeville Avenue, Broadstairs, when Sue Shaw will give a presentation called An Adventure in Peru, with Floral decorations which will be raffled off at the end of the afternoon. We are a very friendly group and all will be made most welcome.

Strood Gardening Club meet at 7.30pm at St Nicholas Church (Lower Hall), High Street, Strood.
The topic is to be "How to get the best out of your Greenhouse" and the speaker is Alan Harvey.
Non members are welcome to come along at a charge of 拢3 - which includes tea and biscuits!

Hadlow Flower Club meet at Hadlow Old School Hall, TN11 0EH at7.30pm for 8.00pm - GRAHAM HARMER gives a talk and demonstration entitled 'JUNE IS BUSTING OUT......ALL OVER'.

High Halstow & District Gardening Club meet at High Halstow Memorial Hall (ME3 8SH) at 7.30 pm for 8 pm start.
The talk is "The Rise & Fall of a Beekeeper" by Susan Scrivens

Herne Bay Gardening Club have an outing to Savile Gardens - Membership is full at the moment but we welcome visitors for a payment of 拢2 per session.

WEDNESDAY 13th JUNE
Gravesend Floral Arrangement Society presents National Demonstrator Trish Bashford with "Let's Party"! It's at Christ Church Hall, Old Road East, Gravesend,
7.30pm for 8pm; Visitors 拢5.00 and there's a raffle

Nonington Gardening Club have their next meeting at 7.30pm in Nonington Village Hall when the speaker will be Sue Marshall , talking on "The English Love Affair with Irises". Visitors and guests will be made very welcome.
The Club is also taking part in the Nonington Village Fete on July 15th and will be hosting a Floral Arranging Competition. Anyone can enter, not just Members and the the arrangement should be no bigger than 9"x9" with no accessories. No advanced registration necessary, just bring it along on the day. It's Hartley Horticultural Society's Summer Show at 8pm. Come and see the beautiful flowers and vegetables grown by our members. Visitors are welcome and refreshments are available. The venue is Fawkham and Hartley Church Centre, Ash Road, Hartley, DA3 8DB.

The National Vegetable Society meet at 7.30 in Bridge Village Hall on the High Street near Canterbury for a talk by Lotte Shaw on "Tax, Care and Toy Boys".

THURSDAY 14th JUNE
Groombridge Horticultural Society have a 7 o'clock evening trip to Wyevale Garden Centre in Tunbridge Wells.

Maidstone Flower Club - Friendship Through Flowers extend a warm welcome to new members and visitors at their friendly club which meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month at Allington Baptist Church (opposite Somerfield Hospital). Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Free parking is available.

SATURDAY 16th JUNE
The Ellenor Glorious Gardens 2018 continues - The Swanley Village Garden Safari runs from 11 until 5 with seven gardens, allotments, the church and school grounds open costing 拢5 per adult, children free...... AND at the same time for 拢7 you can also visit the New Barn Garden Safari for six gardens from formal landscaped to quirky countryside gardens with chickens.

SUNDAY 17th JUNE
The South East Orchid Society are selling their orchids or divisions of their plants at 2.30pm.
Entry to the meeting is free for all SEOS members. Non-members who are interested in orchids are very welcome to attend the meeting and view the Table Show of members orchids on display, for a small charge of 拢3 per person / 拢5 per couple

Eynsford holds it's annual Garden Safari between 11 and 5pm - there are twelve gardens to explore throughout the day. You buy a Garden Guide which serves as an entrance ticket for 拢5, kids are free.

Lullingstone Castle and The World Garden opens between noon and 5pm for The National Garden Scheme - standard admission charges apply.
