Simon Hughes has labelled the ECB's proposal of 100 ball cricket as a "crackpot idea".

The rules for the new competition, which will begin in the summer of 2020, are yet to be decided.

Hughes would like to see the eight city based franchise model introduced, but sees no reason to move away from the T20 format.
