SUNDAY GARDENING EVENTS
SUNDAY 16th SEPT

There's a GRAND AUTUMN SHOW from 1.45 to 4.15pm organised by the Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies
This is a large show with competitions featuring Dahlias,
Chrysanthemums and other Autumn flowers, gorgeous Vegetables and Fruit,
tasty Baking and Preserves and carefully worked Crafts and natural
Flower Arrangements. This year the Federation is celebrating its 80th Anniversary 1938
to 2018.
There's also Produce Sales, Refreshments and a Raffle.... And it all takes place in the large hall of Ditton Community Centre, Kiln Barn Lane
Bring a friend, children, grandchildren and enjoy the show!

MONDAY 17th SEPT
Hadlow Gardeners Society meet at Old School Hall in Hadlow at 8 for a talk by Peter Cox on roses - visitors are welcome and it's 拢2 entry.

TUESDAY 18th SEPT
HERNE HORTICULTURAL & ROSE SOCIETY hold their Autumn Show at HERNE INSTITUTE HALL, CANTERBURY ROAD in HERNE - DOORS OPEN 7pm FOR 7.30pm START and MEMBERS are FREE, VISITORS 拢2 EACH.
It's an open show for members and non-members, and Classes include Flowers, Fruit, Vegetables, Cookery and Floral Arrangements. All visitors welcome.

WEDNESDAY 19th SEPT
Faversham Horticultural Society have an afternoon visit to Salutation Gardens in Sandwich to see Steve Edney's Dahlias.

Tyler Hill Gardening Society have a talk on Bulb Planting For Spring by Janine Doulton from 7.30 at Tyler Hill Memorial Hall

THURSDAY 20th SEPT
After a summer break, The Deal and District Flower Club resume this month, and invite you to an evening of flower arranging with Lynn Carter, who will be showing her interpretation of 'Inside Out, Upside Down!'
The event is being held at The Cleary Hall, Landmark Centre, Deal, CT14 6BB on at 7.00pm for 7.30 pm. There will a raffle for the finished arrangements. Guests/visitors 拢6.00 on the door - all welcome.

SOUTHBOROUGH ALLOTMENT HOLDERS' ASSOCIATION have their FLOWER & VEGETABLE SHOW at ST.THOMAS' CHURCH ROOM, PENNINGTON RD.

Acol Horticultural Society are holding their Autumn Show at 2.30pm in the Marquee at the rear of Acol Village Hall.
It will incorporate the Thanet Beekeepers' Association Annual Honey Show. Refreshments and plants will be available.
There will also be an exhibition of work by Acol Art Group.

Charing Gardeners' Society hold their Autumn Show at Parish Hall, Station Road, Charing. Exhibits staged between 9am - 11.15am and open to the public at 2pm. Entrance is free. Please come along and see a wonderful display of late summer and autumn flowers, vegetables, plants, cookery and handicrafts and enjoy some delicious refreshments. SUNDAY 23rd SEPT
The Hardy Plant Society continue their series of monthly meetings with talks by nationally well known nursery people at 2.30 pm.
The speaker will be Marina Christopher from Phoenix Perennial Plants in Hampshire, a nursery growing hardy and unusual plants and she now regularly supplies plants to top garden designers, often for the inclusion in the show gardens at Chelsea.
Marina's talk is called "Choice Plants for Pollinators Throughout the Season".
There's also a plant display, Teas, Plant and Book Sales and a Raffle - it all takes place at Platt Memorial Hall on the Maidstone Road between Borough Green and Wrotham Heath.
