Jake Shears was the lead singer of The Scissor Sisters. It's easy to forget just how massive they were. Their debut album - the one with Take Your Mamma , Laura, Comfortably Numb, shifted 2.7 million copies, making it the 40th best selling album in UK history - one place below Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds and one above ...But Seriously by Phil Collins. That's the scale we're talking about.

The band split up in 2012. Jake Shears is back with his debut solo album, called Jake Shears. It's been a huge passion project for him, he moved to New Orleans to record it, funded it all, and has been touring it around the UK.
