1950s cricket tips for Caribbean migrants
When to turn up, how to behave, and when to get the drinks in: Lenny Henry reads advice for West Indian migrants in Going to Britain?, a pamphlet produced by the 大象传媒 Caribbean Service in 1959.
This is an excerpt from Windrush: Some Kind of Homecoming, a special edition of Words and Music exploring the experience of the Windrush generation through its poetry, prose and music. This edition is broadcast as part of Black History Month and inspired by the British Library's free exhibition Windrush: Songs in a Strange Land, which runs until 21 October.
Pictured here is the St Lucia-born broadcaster Alva Clarke reporting from Worcestershire Cricket Club in 1963.
