When not out gigging, Lewis works in education and is an expert in Ancient Hebrew!

Independent Venue Week
听
Now in its sixth year, this annual event celebrates small music venues around the country.
听
But while new venues are springing up, it's estimated that around a third of the UK's small gig spaces have closed in the past decade, according to Music Venue Trust.
听
On Wednesday, 30 January, Steve will be hosting his programme from our 大象传媒 studios on Hylton Road before hosting an evening of live music at the Marr's Bar.

The venue has been hosting free music nights every Friday and Saturday, from 9pm, showcasing the best local talent.

Musicians' Masterclass
听
This week, we look at the meteoric rise to fame of artists such as Tom Grennan and former 大象传媒 Music 'Sound Of' nominee SOAK.

The Hub, which is based at Bromsgrove Baptist Church, is being run in partnership with Dragon Music - the team behind Bromsgrove Rock School.
听
After being awarded a grant from the David Morgan Trust, people are now able to play a bunch of new instruments while free tuition is also being offered by professional musicians.

The venue, which has made a name for itself as being the national HQ of the government-funded MAS Records scheme, is supported by Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Ricky Wilson (Kaiser Chiefs) and Karl Hyde (Underworld).
