When we first heard Connor James鈥� tracks, we knew they had to feature in our Top Ten.听But the Worcester record producer only went and joined a band!
听
However, that group is even better - and featured in our Ones To Watch in 2019.听Then got played on 大象传媒 Radio 1. Then performed at the Peaky Blinders Festival in Birmingham.

大象传媒 Music Introducing at the Peaky Blinders Festival

Thousands of Peaky Blinders fans in flat caps and flapper dresses came together at the TV drama's first official themed festival, where the attractions ranged from ballet to boxing.
听
A stone's throw from the street where the real Peaky Blinders' first crime was recorded 130 years ago, the gang returned to reclaim their turf - crowds of them, many dressed in the uniform of suits and peaked caps, or tassled party dresses and feathered headbands.
听
Thanks to the hit TV series inspired by the original Birmingham mobsters, it's no longer a gang. It's a tribe.
听
The show's creator Steven Knight said: "I spoke to a woman who said she'd come from LA. For the day. That is commitment.
听
"Somebody else just showed me their leg, which was covered in Peaky Blinders character tattoos. It's very humbling and gratifying that it's had this effect on people."
听

New record store

On Thursday, it was six years to-the-day since Vintage Trax first started selling second hand vinyl in Redditch.
听
Since then owner Ros Sidaway has opened a shop in Headless Cross, organised several music events (including the celebration of John Bonham) and now she's opened a second shop in the town centre!

Artist of the Week

Music, this week, from a Bromsgrove singer-songwriter who says she fuses her soulful roots with electronic soundscapes with hints of pop and funk.
听
Jules Rendell has most recently been performing with indie band Foals in the 大象传媒's world famous Live Lounge in London - and regularly comes back to her family in Worcestershire.
听
She says through her own mental health struggles she's learned a lot about accepting her own imagination as a positive force in her life - and uses every song to remind herself about keeping healthy in her mind.

From signing with a major record label, in 2012, through to landing a #1 after singing the soundtrack to the John Lewis Christmas advert,听Gabrielle Aplin has now set up her own record label and has plenty of top tips and advice to share of what she's learnt along the way.

Our next recording session takes place at the Conquest Theatre in Bromyard on Sunday, 24 November from 7pm.

If you've only ever driven through the town before, the Conquest is on what we like to call 'Nozstock Street!'.
听
The theatre has now been hosting events at its Tenbury Road location for a quarter of a century - but they'd been campaigning for a facility like this since the '50s, according to the records book.
听
Originally, events had been held in an 'old tin hut' which had been built in 1919 by the Royal British Legion.听But eventually they decided an all-singing, all-dancing venue was what the town needed.
听
We'd love to see you on the 24th - simply turn up, there's no need to book.
