In session

This week's live music comes from indie band Black Bear Kiss.
Ìý
They’ve been going for three years and whilst most of the five-piece are from Shropshire, the drummer is from Worcester!
Ìý
Their influences include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kasabian and the Foo Fighters.
Ìý
They describe their music as having 'a trademark upbeat sound with a twist of funk'.
Ìý

Christmas Lights

The Christmas lights have gone on across Herefordshire & Worcestershire, and we've been there pushing down the switch with Santa and a host of local musicians.
Ìý
Tonight, hear our coverage of the Worcester and Stourport ceremonies - which took place earlier this week, with Elliott Webb, Toni McDonald, Malcolm Boyden and Andrew Easton hosting the shenanigans in Malvern, Bromyard, Bromsgrove and Upton this afternoon.

Features

´óÏó´«Ã½ Music Introducing Live: Pete Tong

Legendary dance Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong has graced the decks of the best clubs and festivals worldwide for four decades.
Ìý
As a producer, he’s made his own music, created soundtracks for films and most recently started an arena tour with the Heritage Orchestra.
Ìý
He spoke at ´óÏó´«Ã½ Introducing Live at Tobacco Dock, in London, about how to stand out as a DJ and how to get your records played.

´óÏó´«Ã½ Music Introducing at the Peaky Blinders Festival

Thousands of Peaky Blinders fans in flat caps and flapper dresses came together at the TV drama's first official themed festival, where the attractions ranged from ballet to boxing.
Ìý
A stone's throw from the street where the real Peaky Blinders' first crime was recorded 130 years ago, the gang returned to reclaim their turf - crowds of them, many dressed in the uniform of suits and peaked caps, or tassled party dresses and feathered headbands.
Ìý
Thanks to the hit TV series inspired by the original Birmingham mobsters, it's no longer a gang. It's a tribe.
Ìý
The show's creator Steven Knight said: "I spoke to a woman who said she'd come from LA. For the day. That is commitment.
Ìý
"Somebody else just showed me their leg, which was covered in Peaky Blinders character tattoos. It's very humbling and gratifying that it's had this effect on people."
Ìý

´óÏó´«Ã½ Children In Need

Last Friday was ´óÏó´«Ã½ Children in Need, where the five-hour telethon saw stars from Strictly Come Dancing, Doctor Who and even Star Wars 'do their bit'.
Ìý
In total, almost £50 million was raised for the charity that helps 3,000 local projects across the UK.
Ìý
Schools around Herefordshire and Worcestershire also took part; our Pudseymobile rocked up at more than fifty schools across our area.
Ìý
Pudsey's tour manager, Nina Das Gupta, went to visit Bewdley Primary School where the children had prepared an '80s themed performance and, to top it off, the band Fuzzbox made a surprise appearance.

´óÏó´«Ã½ Music Introducing in Bromyard

Our next recording session takes place at the Conquest Theatre in Bromyard on Sunday, 24 November from 7pm.
Ìý
If you've only ever driven through the town before, the Conquest is on what we like to call 'Nozstock Street!'.
Ìý
The theatre has now been hosting events at its Tenbury Road location for a quarter of a century - but they'd been campaigning for a facility like this since the '50s, according to the records book.
Ìý
Originally, events had been held in an 'old tin hut' which had been built in 1919 by the Royal British Legion.ÌýBut eventually they decided an all-singing, all-dancing venue was what the town needed.
Ìý
We'd love to see you on the 24th - simply turn up, there's no need to book.
