'I was heartbroken' - Rooney on leaving Everton
Wayne Rooney talks to Tony Bellew about feeling 'devastated' when he found out Everton were trying to sell him in 2004.
On the former world champion boxer's new podcast, 'Tony Bellew is Angry', Rooney spoke about how he was touted to other teams with the club needing the money he would generate.
'I was heartbroken, I loved the club and wanted to play for them,' said the former striker, who ended up moving to Manchester United after being forced to put in a transfer request.
