Youth Voices throughout the show, and celebrations of museum awards!

This week We hear about a brilliant new mural project on the Ipswich Waterfront, explained through the voices of young people. Run by ARTEATS this brought the community together to help to collaboratively paint a large panel along some hoardings in Ipswich.

It was National Mental Health Awareness Week last week, West Suffolk College students had a special conversation with 3 guest speakers to talk about their own mental health and how they look after themselves. The speakers we have are as follows:

Charlie King -personal trainer and model. He's most known for being on The Only Way is Essex and has recently announced he is in therapy for body dysmorphia.

Courtney Scarlett - Courtney is an advocate for safe riding and passionate about inspiring women to get involved in biking, once leading an all-female ride from London to Wales in the UKs first women鈥檚 motorcycling event.

Sonia O鈥橬eil - Canadian born Sonia O鈥橬eill is a professional footballer with Venezuelan, Italian and Irish roots. Sonia started her professional football career with a move to Europe playing for teams such as Roma, and Rangers FC. She鈥檚 currently play for ZNK Split in Croatia and representing the Venezuelan National Team.

Students that hosted the conversation were Naomi Deaneangelle, Melody Broomfield, Raymond Vangahun

Elma Glasgow from Aspire Black Suffolk was joined by Glen Chisholm and Melanie Hollis from Ipswich Museums to celebrate their recent award success that came from The Power of Stories exhibition at Christchurch Mansion, last year in Ipswich. They won temporary exhibition of the year at the Museum and Heritage Awards.

Cohere Arts came on to talk about encouraging voice and activism for young people, we hear from the project manager Amy Mallet,and some brilliant young people Maisy, Jake, Frankie, Beau and Alex aged 11 - 14 who, with short preparation, made two podcasts, one about the climate and one about inequality.
