One of the most defining images of the Falklands War, was HMS Antelope exploding against the back-drop of a black night sky.
On 23rd May 1982, the Type 21 Royal Navy frigate came under attack by Argentinian aircraft.
Antelope had taken up position in San Carlos water to support the British ground force efforts to libertate the Falkland Islands.
But she was hit by two bombs that had initially failed to explode - one on each side of the ship. Antelope sank the following day after one of the bombs detonated during a failed attempt to make them safe.
At the time, Bob Shadbolt was in charge of a small air engineering team looking after the ship's Portland-based Lynx helicopter - the aircraft had landed away from Antelope.
Four decades on, the 23rd and 24th May 1982 are days that Bob will never forget.
