A toddler with a rare and devastating inherited condition has become the first child to be treated in the UK with a life-saving gene therapy. The drug, called Libmeldy, is the most expensive medicine in Europe, costing nearly 拢3m per patient. For the family it is bittersweet as only one of the two children can be saved. The 大象传媒鈥檚 medical editor Fergus Walsh has followed the treatment at Royal Manchester Children鈥檚 Hospital over several months and has this exclusive report.
