Wigtown at 25
To mark 25 years of the Wigtown Book Festival we look at the impact the festival has had on the town.
To mark 25 years of the Wigtown Book Festival we look at the impact the festival has had on the town over that time. We speak to the people behind the original bid to become Scotland's Book Town, those who make it happen every year, the booksellers who've returned home and visiting authors. They include children's writers A.F. Steadman and Katherine Rundell and Women's Prize founder, Kate Mosse and we hear a reading from local poets. We will also examine future plans to make the most of Dumfries and Galloway's rich literary history to encourage more tourists.
