TRANSLATION:The Kehelland Trust opened the shop last Saturday as part of a project to support people with learning and physical disabilities. The charity hopes the new shop in Camborne will help the young people it works with to get work experience and training. The shop will sell a range of fresh vegetables, herbs, groceries, milk, honey, and eggs. Most of the produce sold at the shop has been grown and produced at the trust in Kehelland. The shop will open on a phased basis which will include a period of public consultation. The charity hopes to meet the initial needs of the Camborne community, before refurbishment, adding new stock and opening with the full range of products. Kehelland trust currently offers services for learners and trainees from across Cornwall.

TRANSLATION聽Cornwall Council has launched its 'Proud to Care Cornwall' campaign due to "many of the current workforce nearing retirement". According to the council only 8% of the workforce was currently under 25, and more than 25% were 55 or older. Councillor Andy Virr, said he wanted to "challenge misconceptions". Mr Virr, the council's cabinet member for adult social care and health, said: "To secure the future workforce and ensure everyone receives the care they need, we must attract and retain more young people in the sector. "We're keen to challenge any misconceptions people might have about working in the care sector." "There are great career opportunities with the ability to progress and lots of options to learn as you earn, as well as a sense that you're really making a difference to people's lives," Mr Virr said.
