Martin Lewis: Why is a will so important?
Martin Lewis highlights why a will is so important - especially if you're an unmarried couple or have just recently married.
He explains that in England, Wales and Northern Ireland once married, your previous will is often revoked and therefore not binding. "A will isn't good enough, you need an up to date will", he said.
Martin also warns of the need to get a will if you're in an unmarried couple, despite how long you've spent together or however many children you have . In the eyes of the law, in Martin's words, it means "diddly-squat".
