Born without a womb
Betty Mukherjee, who took part in the 大象传媒鈥檚 Race Across the World, spoke to Naga Munchetty about being diagnosed with MRKH at the age of 16 and her decision to talk publicly about it on the programme.
MRKH, or Mayer-Rokitansky-K眉ster-Hauser syndrome, is a rare condition that means a woman is born with ovaries but no womb.
The NHS estimates that around 1 in every 5,000 women are born with MRKH.
Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Naga Munchetty, Betty said: 鈥淔or me it was a massive sense of identity crisis. Everything I suddenly thought my path of life was gonna be, it鈥檚 not.鈥
