Joshua Attwood is currently in his second year of training at London Contemporary Dance School. Whilst studying he has learnt various dance techniques including Cunningham, Gaga and Flying Low. Joshua got the opportunity to work Dance4’s Changing Perceptions Research Project, looking into the progression routes for young disabled dancers, under the direction of Lucy Bennett, Artistic Director of Stopgap Dance Company. In 2013, he joined the National Youth Dance Company for 2 years, working with Guest Artistic Directors Akram Khan (2013-14) and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (2014-15), whose works premiered at Sadler’s Wells Theatre before touring the UK. In the future, Joshua is interested in creating his own work but also hopes to perform in a touring dance company.
