Introducing singer/songwriter – Kwabs; when he sings, soul pours out in a voice that is richly textured and full of gravitas. It’s a deep baritone vocal that rumbles and reverberates becoming an instrument of both power and vulnerability but most of all, that transcends description and which quite simply just has to be heard. The south London based artist brings to the forefront a mix of his African roots with both r&b as well as gospel influences set against a backdrop of electro-synthesized soul.

Despite being at relatively early stages in his solo career, his growing reputation for an exceptional live performance has already won him praise from the likes of Jessie Ware, India Arie, Laura Mvula, Emeli Sande, Joss Stone, SOHN and Plan B, the latter he supported on tour the summer of 2012.

His debut offering ‘Spirit Fade’ is a track he co-wrote with Dave Okumu (The Invisible / Jessie Ware). It went live on his soundcloud gaining 10,000 plays in 24 hours and he has steadily gained a legion of fans since then, including ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 1/1Xtra DJs MistaJam, DJ Target, CJ Beatz, Annie Mac, Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens who have come on board as early champions. He doubled that figure on soundcloud with ‘Last Stand’, the Vienna-via-London-multi-talented SOHN produced track that placed him inside the Top 10 most blogged artist (worldwide) on Hype Machine just 24 hours after it went live.
