Queen Anne
The picture of elegance, Queen Anne’s poise disguises her piercing loneliness in the face of Louis’ increasing hostility.
With France at war with her native country Spain, Anne is treated with suspicion and kept from spending time with the son she so adores.
When she hears that the Musketeers are back, she can’t help but look forward to seeing Aramis again – and when she does, it’s clear that the attraction between them never died. However as the series progresses, Anne and Aramis will form a relationship of a different kind in their bid to keep France safe from its unpredictable enemies yet.
Anne’s unshakeable reserve in the face of mounting political pressure will prove invaluable in defending the nation she now determinedly calls her own.
