Ellie Harrison
Ellie is a geographer and ecologist known for her work presenting a whole host of wildlife and natural science programmes.
She has travelled to Namibia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia to film the wildlife series Michaela鈥檚 Wild Challenge, which earned a BAFTA in 2005. More recently she has travelled throughout the UK to film wildlife spectacles for 大象传媒 One鈥檚 . She currently presents for , Wild British Winters and聽is a regular on The Alan Titchmarsh Show.聽She also聽writes for Countryfile Magazine and fronts BTCV鈥檚 Spring Into Action campaign.
Ellie grew up in rural Gloucestershire. During her early travels she worked on a farm in Zimbabwe, canoed unguided on Lake Kariba and camped under the dam taking portrait photographs. She聽managed to聽squeeze聽in several聽wildlife watching trips in both Zimbabwe and Canada before returning to the UK to study Geography at King鈥檚 College, London. She聽specialised in biogeography and third world political ecology, and won a scholarship to travel to Zimbabwe for her thesis on conservation development and elephant management.
Ellie spends her spare time watching peregrine falcons, cycling, diving and studying zoology.
