Saibra was a member of the Doctor’s ‘Team Not Dead’ that attempted to rob the Bank of Karabraxos. She demonstrated great bravery during the supposed heist and her role in the caper was vital, due to a remarkable ability she possessed…

The mutant human’s physical form changed when she touched another living being. Her appearance morphed into that of the person or thing she came into contact with, and as she wore a hologram shell, her clothes appeared to transform as well so that Saibra effectively became physically identical to the human or alien she touched.

After touching cells belonging to one of Karabraxos’ customers, the suave-looking Mr Porrima, she replicated his appearance. She assured the Doctor she could maintain his form for as long as she liked and using the disguise gained entrance to the bank… The break in was underway!

After having so many faces Saibra revealed she was able to read them easily and could even tell when the Doctor was lying. But as with fellow team member Psi, her ‘special power’ left her feeling isolated. She eloquently voiced her plight to the Doctor, ‘I am alone… Could you trust someone who looked back at you out of your own eyes?’

With Saibra’s help the Doctor penetrated the bank and found a supply of gene suppressant which served as an antidote for her condition. After she had been made ‘normal’, as the Doctor put it, she hugged him and remained unchanged. ‘See! I don’t have your face now!’ she declared. ‘Yeah,’ the Doctor replied, ‘I kind of miss that…’
