About Harriet
Harriet is a woman who loves life. She’s the author of nine books, countless papers, a musician; student of classical music and lover of music. She’s astonishingly energetic with a brain that darts from point to point pollinating like a hummingbird seemingly without plan or purpose until the flowers of her thought bloom. She can be the sober arbiter of facts as well as the activist campaigning for justice – just depends on the day and the situation. When she walks into a room it will light up with the expectation that something unexpected is about to happen.
Harriet’s Background
She lost her husband, a QC and eminent legal mind, three years ago – something that she can shrug off and even make quips about in public - but her private pain is profound and she salves it by staying busy and “alive”. Her rational brain can cope with loss but her heart is scarred.
Maggie Steed
Maggie is an English actress and comedian. Her first major television role was playing Rita Moon in the series Shine on Harvey Moon. Maggie has since appeared in numerous shows over the years, including Rivals, Sister Boniface Mysteries, Anatomy of a Scandal and Ten Percent.
She has performed in many stage productions, notably Michael Frayn’s comedy Noises Off and in a comedy duo role with Jackie Clune in The Belle’s Stratagem.
Maggie made her first appearance playing Harriet Maven in January 2025.
